Some things change. Some things don’t.

July 4th, 2009  |  Published in Philosophy

New media. Old media. Traditional media. Social media.

Media comes. Media goes. Some things stay the same. Companies and professionals may think they can “choose” not to participate in the “new” media. Maybe so. Maybe not. Their former employees, former clients, former suppliers, former customers, may just be already participating for them.

Being unknown, whether on purpose or not, defies the things that stay the same: people want to know the people they do business with.

Thank you to David Meerman Scott, author of World Wide Rave, for highlighting this penetrating video by the Business Marketing Association.
