About

Facebook, Flickr, Google Friend Connect, Digg: new tools to do ancient stuff—connecting people-to-people to build relationships. The Social Media Professor wants to help non-profits and professionals use technology to enhance human interaction. For non-profits that means giving donors more opportunities to be engaged in their mission; for professionals it means changing the way you get and work with clients. The end result is everyone does what they do with people they enjoy doing it with.

My name is Trey Pennington and I’m the Professor. Though I haven’t yet finished my doctorate (only three classes and a little paper to go; my MBA and MS helped a lot!), I am both learning from doing and from others who are doing the same.
